A phenomenological study on influencing factors of nursing-patient communication of junior pediatric nurses / 中国实用护理杂志

ABSTRACT

Objective:

To explore the influencing factors of communication between pediatric junior nurses and parents of hospitalized children,and to provide basis for further improving the communication ability of junior nurses.

Methods:

A semi-structured interview was conducted among 10 pediatric junior nurses. Colaizzi phenomenological seven-step analysis method was used to analyze the data.NVivo10.0 software was used to manage,excavate and search text data.

Results:

Four themes were extracted,including self-factors,environmental factors,lack relevant training and lack of human resources.

Conclusions:

There are many influencing factors in the communication between nurses and parents of hospitalized children.Managers should pay attention to them by targeted training and improving communication environment, the communication ability of junior nurses can be improved,so as to improve the quality of nursing and family satisfaction.
