ABSTRACT

Objective:

To apply Botulinum toxin type A (BTX-A) injection for cricopharyngeal achalasia dysphagia guided by ultrasound and electrical stimulation.

Methods:

A case with cricopharyngeal achalasia dysphagia was reviewed.

Results:

He ate food almost in normal way six days after injection, and cricopharyngeus was open seven days after injection.

Conclusion:

BTX-A injection under ultrasound- and electrical stimulation-guide is effective on cricopharyngeal achalasia dysphagia.
