ABSTRACT

Objective:

To explore the clinical value of nursing intervention in children with bronchial asthma.

Methods:

Totally 140 children with bronchial asthma admitted from March 2017 to April 2018 were randomly divided into observation group and control group with 70 cases in each group, the control group was given routine nursing care, while the observation group was given staged exercise nursing intervention on the basis of the control group. The asthma control, pulmonary function, exercise ability and quality of life of the two groups were compared before and after nursing.

Results:

The scores of Asthma Control Test (25.65±2.57) points and control level in the observation group were higher than (21.78±1.56) points and control level in the control group ( t=7.332, Z=5.915, P<0.001). 3 months after nursing, observation group VT/kg (9.82±1.26) ml/kg、TPEF/TE (38.49±2.97)%, VPEF/VE (41.37±5.16)%, Fatigue Index (FI) (48.61±3.79), Peak Power (PP) (8.99±0.85) W/kg, Mean Power (MP) (7.59±0.46), three dimensions of Pediatric Asthma Quality of Life Questionnaire (PAQLQ) was Symptom (6.72±0.49) points, Activity (6.72±0.46) points, Emotion (6.68±0.68) points, all of them were higher than the control group VT/kg (9.30±1.42) ml/kg, TPEF/TE (24.13±3.22)%, VPEF/VE (28.21±4.26)%, FI (48.61±3.79), PP (7.91±0.96) W/kg, MP (7.20±0.81) W/kg, Symptom (6.52±0.52) points, Activity (5.16±0.82) points, Emotion (6.40±0.58) points ( t values were 2.292-27.427, P<0.05).

Conclusion:

Stage exercise nursing intervention could more effectively control the asthma symptoms of children with bronchial asthma, improve lung function and exercise ability, and strengthen the quality of life of children.
