On tuberculosis of the bones in the Philippines

ABSTRACT

A case of tuberculosis of the bones was described in a girl not yet three years old. While the findings in the right hand (first metacarpal bone) and first phalanx of the index finger are characteristic, there are changes characterized by massive periostitis of the right humerus and left ulna which as far as we know have not yet bee described in the literature.
