ABSTRACT
@#Objective To investigate the protective effect of the emulsified isoflurane preconditioned intravenously on the myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury in rats. Methods The 40 rats were randomly divided into the pseudo-operation group, saline group, lipid emulsion group and emulsified isoflurane group with 10 animals in each group. The animal model of myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury was established, the pseudo-operation group was not occluded coronary artery, the other three groups were received intravenous 0.9% saline,30% lipid emulsion,or infusions(3.5 ml/kg/h for 30 min)of emulsified isoflurane(6.9%)before a 30-min coronary occlusion and 3 h of reperfusion. The content of myocardial malondialdehyde(MDA)and the activity of superoxide dismutase(SOD)were determined after treatment. The myocardial samples were studied by HE staining to observe hispathological changes. The myocardial ultrastuctures were observed and pictures were taken by electron microscope. Results The myocardial MDA content in the emulsified isoflurane group was significantly lower than that in the saline group and lipid emulsion group, while the activity of SOD in the emulsified isoflurane group was significantly higher than that in the saline group and lipid emulsion group(P<0.05).Conclusion The emulsified isoflurane preconditioned intravenously has protective effect on myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury in rats.
