Effect of Early Intervention on Premature Infants / 中国康复理论与实践

ABSTRACT
@# Objective To observe the effect of early intervention on premature.Methods56 premature infants as intervention group received early intervention, and clinically treatment and management. The mental development index (MDI) and psychomotor development index (PDI) were assessed at the age of 6 months, 12 months, and 18 months comparing to 96 premature infants as control group.ResultsMDI scores of the intervention group was lower than that of the control group at the age of 6 months ( P<0.05). There were no difference in MDI and PDI at age of 12 months between the two groups. But MDI and PDI scores of the intervention group at age of 18 months were higher than those of the control group. ConclusionEarly intervention can improve premature infants normally develop.
