Tumor renal en riñón ectópico pélvico / Renal tumor in pelvic ectopic kidney

RESUMEN

Se presenta el caso de una paciente femenina de 52 as sin antecedentes patológicos de importancia que presenta tumor renal ectópico derecha., fue diagnosticada con ecografía y UROTAC. Se realizo nefrectomía radical derecha.. El diagnóstico patológico fue oncocitoma renal. A los 14 meses de seguimiento con TAC no se demostró progresión. Es raro que exista carcinoma de células renales en riñón ectópico encontrándose apenas 6 casos en la literatura mundial. Y es más raro aún que este tumor sea un oncocitoma.

ABSTRACT

This is the case of a 52 year old, female patient with no significant prior medical history who presents with a tumor in a right, ectopic kidney diagnosed by ultrasound and CT scan. A radical right nephrectomy was performed. The pathologic diagnosis was renal oncocytoma. At 14 months postop, no progession of the tumor has been noted on CT follow-up. It is rare to find renal cancer in an ectopic kidney with only six cases reported in the world literature. It is even more rare that such a cancer should be an on-cocytoma.
