Educação para saúde e interface universidade escola: oficinas pedagógicas desenvolvidas por graduandos de enfermagem sobre o tema IST e contraceptivos / Health education and scholl university interface: pedagogical workshops developed by nursing undergraduates on the topics of IST and contraceptives

RESUMO

Esta pesquisa teve por objetivo comparar o entendimento dos estudantes quanto às questões referentes à IST e contraceptivos, antes e após participarem de oficinas pedagógicas realizadas por alunos e docentes de um curso de Enfermagem de uma instituição particular de ensino. O estudo foi realizado com alunos do 8º ano do Ensino Fundamental de uma escola pública do município de Londrina. Os alunos responderam incialmente um questionário com questões objetivas e algumas situações-problemas para resolverem sobre o uso de contraceptivos e prevenção de IST. Após, formam ministradas oficinas pedagógicas por graduandos do curso de Enfermagem referentes às IST com maiores incidências na região de Londrina e gravidez precoce. Após uma semana da realização das oficinas os alunos responderam novamente o questionário para compararmos o aproveitamento nas oficinas. Os resultados indicam que houve uma discreta melhora no entendimento dos alunos após participarem das oficinas pedagógicas.

ABSTRACT

The aim of this research was to compare the students' understanding of IST and contraceptive issues, before and after participating in pedagogical workshops conducted by students and professor of a Nursing course of a private educational institution. The study was carried out with students from the 8th grade of Elementary School of a public school in the city of Londrina. The students initially answered a questionnaire with objective questions and some problem situations to resolve on contraceptive use and STI prevention. Afterwards, pedagogical workshops were given by undergraduates of the Nursing course referring to STIs with higher incidence in the region of Londrina and early pregnancy. After one week of the workshops, the students answered the questionnaire again to compare the performance in the workshops. The results indicate that there was a slight improvement in the students' understanding after participating in the pedagogical workshops.
