Male circumcision and HIV prevention: directions for future research

ABSTRACT

This publication presents the findings of a meeting of international researchers organized on 7-8 February 2000 at Washington (USA) in order to explore the programmatic and research implications of the association between male circumcision and HIV prevention. Questions discussed determined that there is considerable evidence supporting a protective effect of male circumcision on HIV prevention in men in Sub-Saharan Africa
