Avaliação clínica dos tecidos perimplantares de implantes osseointegrados submetidos à função / Clinical evaluation of peri-implants tissues of the osseointegrated implants submited in a fuction

RESUMO

Foi realizado o estudo clínico dos tecidos perimplantares de implantes osseointegrados submetidos à carga por meio de uso de próteses visando a possível identificação de alterações e falhas, procurando correlacioná-las a índices clínicos e tipos diferentes de próteses. Foram selecionados 40 pacientes do curso de Prótese sobre implante da APCD e do GEOS, de Araraquara, e avaliados 110 implantes osseointegrados. Os resultados obtidos foram analisados e interpretados com auxílio de métodos estatísticos. Pôde-se chegar às seguintes conclusões: 1) não foram observadas diferenças significantes entre o tipo de prótese utilizada e os parâmetros clínicos estudados; 2) não houve relação estatisticamente significante entre os índices de sangramento e profundidade de sondagem e entre os índices de sangramento e quantidade de placa; 3) houve relação entre a quantidade de mucosa ceratinizada e presença de sangramento, tendo os indivíduos que apresentaram entre 1 mm e 2 mm de mucosa ceratinizada (grau 2) obtido maior ausência de sangramento; 4) houve relação entre a quantidade de gengiva inserida e a profundidade de sondagem e, nos indivíduos onde havia uma faixa de gengiva inserida de pelo menos 1 mm, não ocorreu profundidades de sondagens maiores que 3 mm; 5) considerando-se quaisquer outros parâmetros clínicos, não se encontrou relação de dependência entre os mesmos

ABSTRACT

A clinical evaluation of the peri-implants tissues related to osseointegrated implants submitted to occlusal forces by means of prosthetic appliances was designed to identity possible alterations and/or failures and relate those to clinical indexes and type prosthesis. Forty patients were selected among those treated on the implant prosthodontics courses of the APCD (São Paulo Dental Association) and GEOS (Dental Studies and Services Group), Araraquara, SP, Brazil. One-hundred an ten implants were evaluated and results were statistically treated allowing the following conclusions: 1) there were no statistically significant differences between the type of prosthesis and the clinical parameters studied; 2) no statistically significant differences were found between the bleeding and sulcus depth indexes of between bleeding and plaque indexes; 3) there was a significant relation between the amount of ceratinized mucosa and bleeding. All individuals with 1 to 2 mm of ceratinized mucosa (score 2) presented less bleeding; 4) a significant relation was observed between the amount of attached gingiva and sulcus depth. Patients presenting at least 1 mm of attached gingiva presented sulcus depth of less than 3 mm; 5) no significant relationship was found between any other clinical parameters
