RESUMO

Lesão renal aguda (LRA) é definida como a perda rápida da função renal de filtração e está presente em diversos pacientes que procuram atendimento em unidades de emergência. As diferentes etiologias e os níveis variados de gravidade representam uma situação desafiadora ao médico emergencista, que deve ter domínio intimidade com o manejo inicial da patologia.

ABSTRACT

Acute kidney injury (AKI) is defined as an rapid decline in renal filtration function and is often present in patients that seek the emergency department. The different etiologies and multiple classifications of severity represent a challenging situation to the emergencist that must have thorough knowledge of the initial approach to the disease.
