Objective:
To correlate the peak isokinetic torque and vertical impulsion during the execution of the blockade and the attack of female volleyball athletes. Methods:
A quantitative, descriptive correlation study was carried out. Eleven athletes from the adult female volleyball team were evaluated. The torque peak was evaluated in the Biodex system 3, at two angular velocities 60 o / s and 300 o / s and for the vertical impulse evaluation the counter movement jump was performed. Results:
The athletes had a moderate and significant correlation in relation to the peak torque and the vertical impulse during the right flexor attack at 60 º/s with r=0.609; p=0.047, left extensor 300 º/s with r=0.664; p=0.026.Conclusion:
In this way the present study presented a moderate correlation between the peak of isokinetic torque and the vertical impulse during the attack foundation of the volleyball athletes.
