ABSTRACT
This work aims to study the metabolic disorders of erythrocytes in diabetes mellitus. It also investigates the possible contributions of hemoglobin derivatives to the development of this disease. Blood sugar was estimated by Trinder[1] method. Immunoreactive insulin was measured by the ratio immunoassay method. As the blood sugar progresses, both the immunoreactive insulin and electrical conductivity values were decreased by about 15.3% and 26.4%, respectively. Fructosamine was found to be increased by about 64.6%. The intrinsic viscosity increases too by 61% with the disease Development
