Interactive effects of water stress and gibberellic acid on nitrogen content of fenugreek plant

ABSTRACT

The influence of isosmotic nutrient solutions obtained from NaCl and polyethylene glycol 4000 of osmotic potentials ranging from 0 to -8 bar were tested on the nitrogen contents of 12 day-old fenugreek plants. Such stress levels were applied from the onset of germination in treatment I, and from the time of transplanting in treatment II. The effects of GA3 as a presoaking medium on the nitrogen content of osmotically stressed plants were investigated
