ABSTRACT
The effect of Prema microabrasion compound on enamel, composite, compomer, and glass ionomer was tested. Glass ionomer recorded a significantly higher average roughness than all other materials tested, that ranged between 2.7 mm [FUJI ILL C] and 3.2 um [Vitremer]. It was concluded that enamel microabrasion seems to be unsatisfactory for esthetic restorations with emphasis to roughness topography
