ABSTRACT
Administration of actinomycin "D" one or two weeks before extraction leads to retardation of healing. In general, the retardation of healing is even tolerable if compared with cancer chemotherapy as life saving measure or even effective treatment for the patient. However, it was recommended that patients undergoing chemotherapy should be seen by the oral surgeon before starting chemotherapeutic treatment for dental services and if possible, it is advisable to postpond the chemotherapy for at least 7 to 10 days after the extraction to allow primary epithelialization of the wound
