Ceruminous gland tumours of the external auditory meatus

ABSTRACT
Ceruminous gland tumours are very rare glandular tumours of the external auditory meatus. We have dealt with 7 cases in past 10 years. It occurs mainly in middle aged persons. About 60% are adenoid cystic carcinomas. The treatment consists of local extensive excision and postoperative radiotherapy. All of the 4 cases of adenoid cystic carcinoma are still alive after a postoperative follow-up period of 17 months to 9 years
