Effect of some drugs on renal insulin excretion in diabetics with and without renal insufficiency

ABSTRACT
Study of renal insulin excretion was carried out in a group of diabetics before and after giving two drugs [probenecid and fursemide]. Probencid did not alter either the excretion or clearance of insulin in the stupid group. No significant changes in insulin excretion were noted in diabetics with normal renal function after fursemide. However, insulin clearance was increased after fursemide in this group, while this was not noted in diabetics with renal insufficiency
