Juxta-papillary hemangioma in Von-Hippel's disease

ABSTRACT

Bilateral peripapillary exophytic retinal hemangioblastoma is exceedingly rare. To our knowledge, only one case has been described previously [Darr et al., 1966]. The clinical may resemble chronic papilloedema and a misdiagnosis may be made delaying the institution of appropriate therapy. We recently examind a patient who appeared to have this rare form of Von-Hippel's disease and we report the ophthalmoscopic and fluorescein angiographic findings both before and after argon laser photocoagulation
