ABSTRACT
Background and purpose:
Diabetes is one of the most common endocrine metabolic disorders, resulting from defects in insulin secretion, insulin action, or both. According to the useful properties of sesame and extensive use of its products [like sesame butter] in Khuzestan province, the purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of sesame butter vs. sesame oil on serum glucose levels and lipid profiles on diabetic rats.
