Microfilaria in fine needle aspiration cytology of breast lump: an unusual finding

Filariasis is a common health problem in India. Lymphatic filariasis is mostly caused by Wuchereria bancrofti and Brugia malayi. Microfilariae are often found in cytology smears from swelling at various sites and it is rarely associated with neoplasms.
