ABSTRACT
The lining epithelium of the she-camel's vagina was subjected to different degrees of infiltration by lymphocytes, individually or in groups from the subepithelial connective tissue layer. At the early follicular phase, the lymphocytic infiltration was little, while it was very little during the growing follicular phase. Some migrated lymphocytes reached the superficial cell layers and desquamated with them in the lumen. At the late follicular phase, high lymphocytic infiltration was noticed all-over the vaginal length. During early, mid and late luteal phases, some leukocytic and high lymphocytic infiltrations were noticed in the anterior and middle vaginal parts. In the lamina propria, subepithelial diffuse lympho-reticular tissue was more in the anterior and middle parts of the vagina than in the posterior part and vestibule. Aggregated lymph nodules were noticed at the junctions especially the cervico-vaginal one where they surrounded the mucosal invaginations in a manner like tonsils
