ABSTRACT
A detailed study for the haemagglutination property of human and calf rotaviruses was carried out using different buffers with pH. values of 6.2, 7.3 and 9.0. Incubation was carried out at room temperature, at 37°C and at 4°C using red cell suspension from five different animal and avian species including guinea pig, sheep, rabbit, pigeon and fowl. Calf rota virus gave negative results. Human rota virus gave also negative haemagglutination with all systems except with sheep red cells and D G V buffer [pH. 7.3]. This haemagglutination was not inhibited by specific human convalescent serum
