Ocular lesions in AIDS. About 12 Tunisian cases

ABSTRACT
We studied AIDS oculars lesions in 12 tunisian patients from 1989 to 1992. ophthalmological manifestations were present in 10 cases and revielated ADIS disease in 2 cases. The main lesion was that of the posterior segment cotton wool spots 6 cases, cytomegalovirus retinites 2 cases, toxoplasmic retinochoroiditis 1 case, periphlebetis 1 case, retinal hemorrhage1 case. There was a lesion of anterior segment in 2 cases. Cotton-wool spots and cytomegalovirus retinitis are elements of bad prognosis. The follow up of every patient who is HIV positive must be regular
