Application of PMR spectroscopy for the determination of certain indole derivatives of pharmaceutical interest

ABSTRACT

A simple and accurate method was described for the quantitative determination of certain drugs containing indole ring [indomethacin, chlorthalidone and pindolo] both in pure form and in their pharmaceutical preparations. The method involved a comparison of the integral of the selected group protons of the drugs under test with those of the two methine protons of maleic acid used as internal st and ard. The results were accurate and reproducible in comparison with the official methods:
