ABSTRACT
Antipsychotics are used to treat the abnormalities of mental functions. It has been reported that the mental illness represents an interaction between environmental stress and biochemical alteration. Antipsychotics such as chlorpromazine, haloperidol and Fluphenazine are recommended in diseases like bipolar disorders, Schizophrenia, depressive psychoses etc, which may need long term treatment during which undesireable effects cannot be ruled out. In present study effect of the above mentioned drugs on few biochemical parameters such as coagulation time, thrombocyte count, Fibrinogen content, protein concentration and glucose concentration have been evaluated. Significant changes in some biochemical parameters have been observed after the administration of antipsychotics
