ABSTRACT
Intra articular fractures of distal humerus, because of their rarity, displacement and comminution, present a formidable problem to Orthopaedic Surgeons in their management. Fifty adult patients with intra articular fractures of distal humerus were treated by open reduction and internal fixation. Transolecranon approach was found to be satisfactory in treating such injuries. Overall results both functionally and cosmetically were good to excellent in seventy three percent of patients. A low profile of complications was encountered. For better results, exact and stable reduction and internal fixation is recommended
