Gastropleural fistula associated with hepetic hydatid cyst report of a case and review of literature

ABSTRACT

A case of gastro pleural fistula following surgery for a hydatid cyst of the liver is reported. Looking for this complication in all hydatid cysts in the vicinity of the stomach and diaphragm is emphasized. Surgical repair was not successful and a conservative approach in the absence of generalised peritonitis is recommended
