Naturally occurring insecticides in indigenous plants

ABSTRACT

This paper reports the biological activity of 59 indigenous plants against various insects. As there is evergrowing awareness to the hazardous side effects of modern pesticides, more and more emphasis is being given to the use of insecticides of natural origin having specific action against insects only. Some of the plants reported here have great potential for actual use
