Helminth parasites of cats in Dakahlia, Egypt

ABSTRACT
In a survey on intestinal helminthes among stray cats in Dakahlia Governorate, Dipylidium caninum were the most predominant [43.1%], followed by Toxocara cati [38.5%], Haplorchis yokogawai [35.4%], Pygidiopsis genata [29.2%], Heterophyes heterophyes [21.5%], Prohemistomum vivax [15.4%], Echinochasmus perfoliatus [7.7%] and Hydatigera taeniaeformis [6.2%]. The potential dangers of these parasites to man are discussed
