ABSTRACT
This study was done to determine the role of aluminium oxide blasting of nickel chromium alloy on the shear bond strength with zinc phosphate polycarboxylate and glass ionomer cements. The results of this study revealed that, aluminium oxide blasting increase the aluminium concentration as demonstrated by the X-ray microanalysis. Meanwhile, a correlation was established between the aluminium concentration and the marked improvement in the shear bond strength between nickel chromium alloy and glass ionomer cement. It was found that, aluminium concentration has the substantial effect on the shear on bond strength with glass ionomer cement
