Maternity blues: psychometric approach

ABSTRACT
In this study, 61 women who were admitted to hospital for labor were studied for anxiety and depression. The results were compared with a control group of 22 women admitted for general surgery matched for the age, socioeconomic st and ard and educational level. There was a significant difference between both groups as regards the levels of anxiety and depression. Women with normal delivery were compared with those with CS and no significant difference was found.
