ABSTRACT
Superoxide dismutase [SOD] and glutathione peroxidase activities beside methemoglobin content and Met-Hb reductase system were investigated in workers of different blood lead concentration. The obtained data revealed high content of Met-Hb concentration with a different degrees of disorder in Met-Hb reductase. The auto-oxidation of HbO2 in lead exposed subjects resulted in the generation of superoxide radicals. This indicated high activities of SOD and GSH-Px with positive correlation of blood lead concentration
