ABSTRACT
Laparoscopic appendicectomy is valuable in all cases of acute appendicitis as it carries the advantages of laparoscopy in exploration of the entire abdomen searching for associated pathology. Laparoscopic appendicectomy reduces parietal pain with quick return to active social life and good cosmotic result. It is safe with acceptable morbidity rates especially with low frequency of wound and intra-abdominal infection. Two major criticisms of L.A. are that it takes longer time to be performed and it is still an expensive procedure
