ABSTRACT
Population of Pakistan is growing at a very fast rate and we have doubled our population twice since independence. This tends to neutralize the socio-economic gains made in various sectors. Population welfare Programme of the country is trying hard to contain the population but have not been able to achieve the desired goals. The family welfare services of Pakistan Navy are providing coverage to its dependent population. An evaluation study comprising 6000 clients has been undertaken. Initial findings have shown some very encouraging results. It has been found that demographic indicators of our dependent population are far better than the national statistics. This can be attributed to a very well organised family welfare service in Pak Navy besides other factors
