Treatment of advanced chorionic carcinoma with indomethacin and steroids: case report

ABSTRACT

A patient with advanced chorionic carcinoma was treated with cytotoxic drugs, methotrexate and 6-mercaptopurine for a period of three months. Her general condition, including physical, laboratory and radiological findings, deteriorated during and after treatment. She was then given 75 mg of indomethacin and 15 mg of prednisolone daily; signs of improvement, both clinical and radiological, were noted after four weeks of this treatment. It might be concluded that this therapy contributed successfully to the course of her disease and her well-being
