ABSTRACT
The present study was performed to determine the role of common ectoparasites in the aetiology of Prurigo of Hebra. History of patients and controls was taken in relation to exposure to fleas, bugs and female Culex, in addition to the application of intra-dermal tests using the special extract of these insects as antigen. The results showed a strong allergic response to bugs and Culex. This discrepancy of results may be due to increased skin reactivity to bed bugs and its decrease to fleas
