BLack fever and a new drug through the mouth, Kalazar [Visceral Leishmanasis]

ABSTRACT
Kalazar is one of the common protozoal diseases caused by leishmania species Leishmania Donavani. It is transmitted by sanfly from Reservoir [Dog, fox Rodent.et] to human. The clinical presentation of disease is high grade fever intermittent with hepato splenomegaly, and lymph- adenopathly, pallor and bleeding tendency diagnosis of the disease by clinical feature with laboratory data like pancytopia, disturbed liver function test, IFAT for Kalazar, Eliza. And bone marrow examination. Treatement of Kalazar is by drug Antimony pentostam in 15-20 mg/ kg day for 28 days. Which is hepatotoxic need follow up of liver function tests regularly. There is other drug like amphotricen interferone, and new oral drugs hexa cyclphosop hocholine
