ABSTRACT
The present study entails an assessment of T-lymphocyte function in 30 contraceptive pills users, divided into 3 groups according to the administration periods. T-lymphocyte function in the tested groups was found to be suppressed as compared to the control groups. The long term administration of oral contraceptives -might suppress the cell-mediated immunity which could alter gingival tissue response towards bacterial antigens
