ABSTRACT
As we all know in most of the patients with hypertension etiology is unknown. Essential hypertension is often very difficult to treat adequately in young patients. Multiple endocrine disorders have been found to be involved in the pathogenesis of hypertension. Glucocorticoids have got some complex mechanism in the metabolism, and controlling the blood pressure. There is some definite association of cortisol with the regulation of blood pressure by having some effect through glucocorticoid receptors. Recently in adult patients who presented with hypertension at relatively younger age at or before 35 years of age a new etiological pathology have been found, known as partial glucocorticoid resistance syndrome.
