ABSTRACT
Euthanasia and its moral justification is one of the controversial topics in current medical ethics. In this paper, firstly, six types of euthanasia are explained and distinguished from each other. Secondly, it is shown that voluntary active euthanasia is more plausible in comparison with other types. Then, the justification of voluntary active euthanasia is scrutinized based on Rossian ethics. To do so, one time the issue is categorized on the basis of physician's duties towards patient. One more time, the issue is formulated in the light of the patient's duties towards others including himself and the physician
