Implant-supported overdenture: a standard of care for edentulous patients

ABSTRACT

Implants have had a significant impact on current prosthodontic treatment of edentulous patients.as a result of the development of osseointegrated dental implants, new treatment options have become available and new prosthetic designs have emerged. Overdentures supported by few implants dramatically improve patient comfort and acceptance as well as oral function compared to conventional denture. Different type of attachment was introduced for implant-supported overdenture that improves quality of life of geriatric populations in both function and esthetic
