Fifty nine maturity onset diabetic patients with hyperlipemia have been studied as regards the effects of hypoglycemic agents on their blood lipid pattern. Insulin, metformin and diamicron led to significant decrease of serum free fatty acids, triglycerides, cholesterol and B-lipoproteins level, diet control or tolbutamide had no such an effect on blood lipids
