ABSTRACT
Serum Protein levels were determined in 123 primary schoolboys, aged 6 to 14 years, and having different nutritional status. Based on Jelliffe's classification, 21 were healthy, 87 had third degree mat nutrition and 15 fourth degree total proteins were 7.79, 7.68 and 8.03 G/dl; mean albumen 4.63, 4.89 and 5.01 G/dl, an globulin 3.17, 2.82 healthy, 3rd degree and 4t degree mal nutrition respectively. A/G ratio groups was 1.54, 1.82 and 1.70 respectively. The effect of nutrition on total proteins, albumin and globulin was not significant. A significant increase in A/G ratio was, however, observed in case of malnourished children
