Da avaliaçäo vestibular em 42 pacientes com ototoxicose / Vestibular evaluation in 42 patients with ototoxicosis

RESUMO

This investigation was developed in "Setor de Equilibriometria das Disciplinas de Otorrinolaringologia e Distúrbios da Comunicaçäo Humana da Escola Paulista de Medicina" and it consisted in the vestivular evaluation of 42 patients treated with gentamycin. The vestibular evaluation was performed and measured according ro MANGABEIRA ALBERNAZ e col., (l986) and in this paper we related the analysis of rotatory and caloric reponses. In facing our study we concluded that the most frequent signals were hiporreflexia or absence of responses in rotatory and caloric tests that indicates the deficit on the vestibular function in these patients
