RESUMEN
We present the clinícal features and epidemiologícal investígation of the first two linked índígenous cases of measles díagnosed in Chile since 1993. Both were young adults, wíth no record of measles vaccinatíon, resídents of Santíago de Chile for less than a year, who previously líved ín rural areas. The clinical traíts were those classícally descríbed for this íllness, and the diagnosis was confirmed by IgM and IgG antibody studíes at the Instituto de Salud Públíca. The emergence of new cases underscores the importance of keeping an active surveillance, and defíne adequate and prompt epídemíologícal decisions to protect the population at rísk
