Avaliação das habilidades auditivas e comunicativas em criancas com perda auditiva de graus severo e profundo / Assessment of auditory and communication skills in deaf children

RESUMO

Para verificar os efeitos da amplificação fornecida pelas próteses auditivas nas habilidades comunicativas entre 12 crianças surdas e seus pais ouvintes, foi analisada a relação entre o perfil das habilidades auditivas destas (medidas de inserção, ganho funcional e a Escala de Integração Auditiva Significativa) e as habilidades comunicativas (modalidade, ganho de atenção, direção e manutenção do olhar) das duplas – pais e crianças - em duas situações as crianças sem e com as próteses. Quando as crianças estavam utilizando as próteses auditivas, houve uma discreta tendência de os pais utilizarem mais turnos comunicativos na modalidade auditivo-oral e de as duplas manterem mais o olhar no objeto e o alternarem entre o interlocutor e o objeto, comprovando a validação da amplificação para as criança / Inorder to ascertain the effects of hearing aids’ amplification in 12 deaf children’s communicative skills and their hearing parents, it was analysed the relationship between the auditory skills profile of the deaf children (insertion gain, functional gain and The Meaningful Auditory Integration Scale) and their communicaitve skills (modality, attention gain and gaze) in two situations the children with and without hearing aids. When children were fitted with hearing aids it occured a slight tendency of parents using more turns in auditory-oral modality and both looked at the object and alternated their gaze between the interlocutor and the object, confirming the validation of hearing aids’ amplification to the children...
