RESUMEN

Antecedentes El Sistema General de Seguridad Social en Salud (SGSSS) formula una libre competencia que debe ser enmarcada en un mercado "irregular" como es el de los servicios de salud. Este reto implica que el recurso humano del sector, entre ellos el de rehabilitación, se concientice de la importancia de la gestión integral financiera y con ella de los estudios detallados de los costos que le implica la prestación de los respectivos servicios. Tema En este artículo se presenta una contextualización de los costos en el ámbito del sistema de seguridad social analizando, con una mirada macro y microeconómica, la estructuración de entidades y servicios eficientes, viables y sostenibles. Conclusiones Se sugiere plantear investigaciones en los temas de valoraciones económicas, financiación, tarifas y rehabilitación, ya que después de la revisión realizada, son muy escasos y limitados los estudios que se evidencian en este campo. Este artículo pretende ser un preámbulo de una investigación formal que se realiza actualmente en la Universidad del Rosario sobre un estudio de costos de las actividades que están relacionadas en la Clasificación Única de Procedimientos en Salud (CUPS) para los profesionales de fisioterapia, fonoaudiología y terapia ocupacional con el objeto de evaluar a corto plazo los hallazgos y continuar por esta línea de exploración.

ABSTRACT

Background The General System of Social Security in Health (SGSSS) formulates a free competition that must be framed in an "irregular" market such as that of health services. This challenge implies that the sector's human resources, including the rehabilitation sector, become aware of the importance of integral financial management and with it, of detailed studies of the costs involved in the provision of the respective services. Topic This article presents a contextualization of costs in the social security system, analyzing, from a macro and microeconomic point of view, the structuring of efficient, viable and sustainable entities and services. Conclusions It is suggested to propose research on the topics of economic valuations, financing, tariffs and rehabilitation, since after the review carried out, there are very few and limited studies in this field. This article is intended as a preamble to a formal research currently being conducted at the Universidad del Rosario on a cost study of the activities related to the Single Classification of Health Procedures (CUPS) for physical therapy, speech therapy and occupational therapy professionals in order to evaluate the findings in the short term and continue along this line of exploration.
