RESUMO
Objetivo:
avaliar os resultados encontrados no exame de vecto-eletronistagmografia bem como asprincipais queixas e sintomas em sujeitos com queixa de migrânea.Métodos:
para este estudo foramavaliados 30 indivíduos de ambos os gêneros com idades variadas de 20 a 65 anos, com diagnósticode migrânea encaminhados por médicos neurologistas e/ou otorrinolaringologistas. O estudo foi realizadonuma clínica particular de otorrinolaringologia da cidade de São José dos Campos. Para avaliaçãovestibular foi utilizado o Vectonistagmógrafo de marca Contronic modelo SCV, versão 5.1.Resultados:
dos 30 indivíduos encaminhados com migrânea, 28 (93,3%) corresponderam ao gênero feminino e 2(6,7%) ao gênero masculino. O exame vestibular foi considerado normal em 22 (73,33%) indivíduos.Dos exames alterados a predominância maior correspondeu à Síndrome Vestibular Periférica do tipoIrritativa em 7 indivíduos (23,33%) e apenas 1 (3,34%) com Síndrome Vestibular Periférica Deficitária.Conclusão:
na avaliação vestibular houve predomínio de resultados normais e o principal resultadoalterado foi a Síndrome Vestibular Periférica Irritativa. Foram observadas várias queixas auditivas evestibulares.ABSTRACT
Purpose:
evaluate the results found in vecto-electronystagmography exam and also the main complaintsand symptoms in subjects with migraine complaint.Methods:
30 individuals of both genders wereevaluated for this study with ages varying from 20 to 65 years, with migraine diagnosis, that have beendirected by neurologists and/or otorhinolaryngologists. The study was accomplished at a privateotorhinolaryngology outpatient clinic. Version 5.1 SCV model Contronic Vectonistagmograph was usedfor vestibular evaluation.Results:
among the 30 individuals directed with migraine, 28 (93.3%) werewomen and 2 (6.7%) were men. Vestibular exam was considered normal in 22 (73.33%) individuals.Among the altered exams the major predominance corresponded to the Peripheral Vestibular Diseasein 7 individuals (23.33%) and just 1 (3.34%) to Peripheral Vestibular Hypofunction.Conclusion:
in thevestibular evaluation there was prevalence of normal results and the main altered result was the PeripheralVestibular Disease. Several hearing and vestibular related complaints were noted.
