RESUMEN
Las lesiones congénitas de la tráquea son poco frecuentes quizás porque la mayoría son incompatibles con la vida. Entre ellas se reconocen la estenosis, la traqueomalacia, las membranas endotraqueales y las fístulas traqueoesofágicas. Se presenta el caso de una paciente de 22 años que desde la niñez sufría de cuadros respiratorios caracterizados por crisis de asma y tos con expectoración purulenta, a pesar de múltiples tratamientos con antibióticos. La traqueoscopia demostró la presencia de una formación diverticular en la cara lateral derecha de la tráquea. La intervención quirúrgica consistió en la resección de tres anillos de tráquea mediastinal que comprendían el cuello del divertículo. La anastomosis traqueal término-terminal se realizó mediante sutura a puntos separados de vicryl 3/0. Dos años después de la operación la paciente no ha vuelto a presentar infección respiratoria alta, las crisis de asma han disminuido significativamente en frecuencia e intensidad y la broncoscopia demostró que la tráquea estaba normal(AU)
ABSTRACT
The congenital lesions of the windpipe are not very frequent maybe because most is incompatible with the life. Among them the estenosis, the traqueomalacia, the membranes endotraqueales and the water-pipes traqueoesofágicas are recognized. The case of a 22 year-old patient is presented that suffered of breathing squares characterized by asthma crisis and cough with expectoration purulenta from the childhood, in spite of multiple treatments with antibiotics. The traqueoscopia demonstrated the presence of a formation diverticular in the face lateral right of the windpipe. The surgical intervention consisted on the resection of three rings of windpipe mediastinal that you/they understood the neck of the divertículo. The anastomosis tracheal term-terminal was carried out by means of suture to points separated from vicryl 3/0. Two years after the operation the patient has not presented high breathing infection, the asthma crises again they have diminished significantly in frequency and intensity and the broncoscopia you/he/she demonstrated that the windpipe was normal(AU)
